Job Description
A postdoctoral position is available in the Tucker Lab to develop new methods to probe and manipulate biochemical and molecular processes with light. Select projects include development and application of technologies allowing inducible spatiotemporal control of gene expression, cell death, protein assembly, protease cleavage, protein degradation, or other potential areas, with broad applications in neuroscience, neurodegenerative disease, and cancer fields. Techniques used include protein engineering, live cell imaging, biochemical methods, and mammalian cell culture. The postdoc will present data and write manuscripts, and perform and troubleshoot experiments. A Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, or a related field is required.
