Job Description
NMHIC invites applications for The Jeremy Richman Brain Fellowship position. This is a one-year, full time, postdoctoral fellowship position at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. The primary objective of this training position is to prepare individuals for an academically oriented career in the fields relevant to biological and environmental factors associated with increasing compassion and/or prevention of violence.
This fellowship provides a unique and innovative opportunity to learn about the scientific underpinnings of brain health through neuroscience research, community engagement, and education. Fellows will have the opportunity to engage in research and evaluation exploring ways to foster compassion and the risk factors of violence. This will include consideration of the biological and environmental factors involved in the development of violence. Fellows will also explore the protective role of compassion and the importance of empathy in instilling hope.
