Job Description
The Abbott lab studies human immune disorders. Research will be conducted in both in vitro and in vivo systems to examine the impact of inherited mutations on immune function. The ultimate goal of this research is to define molecular pathways of immune disease to allow for the development of targeted therapies.
Minimum Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a PhD in the biological sciences or biochemistry.
• Mastery of the following techniques:
o immunoblot analysis
o PCR
o qPCR
o molecular cloning/mutagenesis
o flow cytometry.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience with the following lab endeavors:
o cell culture
o mouse colony management
o immunofluorescence and immunohistochemical microscopy
o ELISA and ELIspot
o immunoprecipitation including CHIP and co-immunoprecipitation
o Next generation sequence data analysis such as RNA-seq, CHIP-seq, ATAC-seq
